Cristian Răduță draws on ideas of continuous transformations of materials and realities, creating installations that pendulate between post-human dystopianism and contemporary social critique. Just like in a theatre play, his works cast animal companions as protagonists in newly imagined scenarios. These animal figures mirror paradoxes related to human and non-human relationships, with absurd-surrealist undertones that critique power, fragility, and domination.
Using found or inexpensive materials, vibrant pigments, and a carefree assemblage technique, his sculptures highlight forced transformation and the fragility of control. Through association and merging of objects, his works evolve into infinite possibilities, leaving their meaning open-ended. Cristian’s art invites viewers to confront the paradoxes of human impact and interconnectedness with the non-human world.
