In animation and filmmaking, a keyframe is a drawing or shot that defines the starting and ending points of a smooth transition.
In our social life, we don’t witness the smooth transitions of thoughts through body and hands, instead we are confronted with the final curated version. A selfie, a pose, an overpolished object, a scent. The exhibition candidly explores the human need of putting our best version forward, our polished selves and invites the public gaze to take over the story and identity behind each object.
“Keyframes” is a collaboration between Mirare Gallery, a contemporary multisensorial art gallery, and Alura, a Romanian premium footwear business and brand. The project aims to bring together different audiences, becoming a meeting point between art as a form of self expression, a commercial good, a commodity or a fleeting feeling. The public is invited to enter the space and view graphic works by Rareș Bartoș, ceramic objects by VictoriaFinală and a scent installation by Ana Preduș x VictoriaFinală, integrated among artfully crafted shoes.
